I’m quite glad to have not only this song on record but also this very 12 inch version after first hearing it. The piece itself is a sad and touching one and was famously (I mean somewhat?) used in the end of “Oh What a Lovely War” to demonstrate the reality of the aftermath of the “Great” war. These 12” cast records are always interesting.
