How to fix your seagate central, or add serial.
This was done on a 4tb seagate central, sorry for bad focus.

You dont really need serial interface but it is great for debugging. You can also mount the storage drive by logging in with shell/ssh as root user. I dont know how to make the hdd automount.

Serial config:
Baudr: 38400
8 Data bits
none parity
1 stop bits

For the usb-serial you need to install FTDI drivers.
BTW a arduino can also be usead as a serial interface.
