Gingelly Oil – 4 tsp
Bengal gram dal – 1 tsp
Urad dal – 2 tsp
Dry red chilly – 1 no
Garlic cloves – 5 nos
Shallots – 15 nos
Chopped Ginger – ¼ cup
Salt to taste
Tamarind – a small gooseberry size
Coriander leaves

For Tempering/Seasoning:

Gingelly Oil – 2 tsp
Mustard, Bengal gram & Urad dal – ½ tsp
Asafoetida/Hing – ¼ tsp
Curry leaves
