The two visiting locos and stars of the event were the Caledonian Railways 439 class 0-4-4 no, 419 appearing after it's visit to The Churnet Valley Railway & BR Standard class 2 no, 78018 from The Great Central Railway. Making it's first gala appearing was resident Standard 4MT 2-6-4 tank locomotive no, 80097 having been recently restored by it's owning group The Bury Standard 4 Group and 80080 having just been overhauled as well made a great accompany to the proceedings. Also in steam today were Bullied pacific no, 34092 City of Wells, GWR 2-8-0 no, 4270, Manchester Ship Canal Hudswell Clarke 0-6-0 no, 32 Gothenburg, L&Y 0-6-0 tender engine no, 52322 & the Hunslet Austerity GTI no, 2890. All of which can be seen running up and down the line between Heywood, Bury Bolton Street, Ramsbottom & Rawtenstall. The timetable unfortunately ran late all day adding to the confusion of the new timetable & also unfortunately after I started filming the Caledonian tank also failed
