A wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses are offered at Kingston, several of which are rated the best in the country by The Guardian University Guide 2021. Kingston University is a top global destination for fashion studies and its Fashion program is one of the only two programs in the UK to have received the maximum possible ‘Badges of Excellence’ from the leading influencer website Business of Fashion.
Kingston University’s teaching has been recognized as outstanding by winning The Guardian University Award 2017 for teaching excellence. In REF2021, almost a quarter of Kingston’s research, 23 percent, was rated world-leading (4*), compared to 16 percent in REF 2014, with the University also ranking fifth out of 14 University Alliance institutions in the overall tables.

Five Units of Assessment saw more than 70 percent of overall research rated as 4* or 3* - Art and Design, Allied Health, Performing Arts, Computer Science, and English. More than half of the submission in Art and Design was rated world-leading.

Location
Kingston University is based in Kingston-upon-Thames, a busy riverside town, just 25 minutes by train to central London. The historic town center is packed with shops, bars, and clubs, with easy access to Gatwick and Heathrow airports. The stunning Richmond Royal Park, Hampton Court Palace, and the River Thames are also within walking distance.

The University has five campuses, each with specific subjects associated with it. Kingston Hill, Penrhyn Road, Knights Park, and Roehampton Vale campuses are in or around the Kingston town center. St George’s medical campus is also in London and within easy reach of Kingston.
