The Agricultural Finance Corporation AFC, has moved a step closer to becoming a fully fledged commercial bank to serve farmers.
The corporation’s chairman Franklin Bett says the state agency will from next month unveil a strategy that will lead the process. Bett spoke during a ceremony to unveil new Managing Director George Kubai who takes over from Rose Ochanda, who was in an acting capacity since the exit of the then MD Lucas Meso. Kubai takes over for a period of three years on a renewable contract.
