In today's video, I get to drive a phenomenally rare and special hot hatchback - the Honda Civic Type R Mugen. Based on the generally unloved FN2 Civic Type R, this was the first car Mugen ever built for a market outside of the UK.

With reworked engine, suspension and body - only 16 examples were ever sold, and this one is still in the possession of its original owner. When new, these commanded close to £40,000 - but was it worth it?
