One of the best, and worst things about being an immigrant is that you after a while notice that you’ve earned a sort of outside perspective on your own culture. After living outside of Sweden for 12-13 years now, I have this strange disoriented feeling of being ultra-Swedish when I’m around Brits or other nationalities, but ultra-unswedish when I’m back in Sweden visiting family and friends who’ve never lived abroad.
I talk about:
- strange swedish culture
- the best things about sweden
- the worst things about sweden
- swedes are reserved
- trusting society
- swedish small talk
- the swedish interview
- are swedes snobs
- sweden standard of living
