One of the most significant natural destinations in Wisconsin, the Apostle Islands of Lake Superior are a must on any paddler’s bucket list. The islands were probably named by the 17th-century Jesuit missionaries for the Twelve Apostles. Established in 1970, the islands are known for their red sandstone sea caves, sandy beaches, picturesque lighthouses, and historic shipwrecks. Join me as I spend seven days kayaking around and through these beautiful islands while enjoying the rhythm of the world’s largest freshwater lake, Lake Superior. #camping #outdoors #nature
