I've worked with a lot of beginner to intermediate music producers over the past several years, and one big issue that I see regularly is a lot of people want to over do it. I used to struggle with this as well. This can be adding too many different types of instrumentals or synth layers, making your melodies too complex, adding too many counter melodies, etc. In this video, we'll explore the idea of keeping things simple, but also adding textural background layers to make things more interesting.
