In this tutorial, I take you through the process of creating a beautiful sampler piece featuring organic watercolor stripes, inspired by the Creative Abstract Watercolor book. I start by painting soft, flowing stripes on watercolor paper in one of my handmade journals, working with a color palette from The Color Cube. Once dry, I return to the piece to add interesting mark-making details that bring the stripes to life. This relaxing and creative exercise is perfect for anyone looking to explore abstract shapes, watercolor techniques, and unique mark-making approaches in their art journal or on paper.
