In this video, I show the process of installing maximum motorsports solid steering rack bushings in my 97 mustang. This kit works with the factory subframe on 84-04 mustangs. This is a huge steering upgrade as you remove the rubber bushings in the steering rack that can flex and cause poor steering feel, as well as move the steering rack closer to the subframe itself. This modification increases the Ackerman steering principle, resulting in faster turn in. This kit makes a very notable difference in the steering wheel and makes it much more confidence inspiring, and most likely saved me a ton of time and money just an hour later. Another driver decided to turn out in front of me and slam on her brakes, leaving me only milliseconds to react and save the car from experiencing an accident, these bushings did not hesitate to apply my steering input directly to the wheels and save me from a terrible day.
