Kaluk is a small village located in the Himalayan foothills of West Sikkim. Kaluk at an altitude of 5600ft. is known for its tranquil ambience and surreal view of Mt Kanchenjunga. Kaluk offers its guests the most stunning views of Mt Kanchenjunga. With a distance of 119 km from New Jalpaiguri OR Siliguri railway station, and this offbeat destination in West Sikkim currently in high demand for tourists. Kaluk is a new and small village attraction among tourists who loves village tourism, especially in Sikkim. Not too many tourists go here yet.

I went to Kaluk along with my family in West Sikkim after the lockdown and last November 2020. This travel vlog is all about Kaluk and staying experience at Kaluk. We, Stayed at the Mandarin Village Resort at Kaluk, West Sikkim. I tried to share my complete experience such as staying, enjoying, and of course food experience. Great Kanchenjunga can be seen from Kaluk al throughout the day. Yes! It’s a great experience to watch mount Kanchenjunga although out the day and from your hotel room. Kaluk has achieved popularity amongst tourists for the last few years. Therefore, hotels and accommodations in this village- in and around are not at all a big issue at all. However, you can stay either in Kaluk OR just 2Km away and in the Rinchenpong area as well. Both these locations are great to watch Mt.Kanchenjunga. In Kaluk there are two great resorts called "𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻 𝗩𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘁" and "𝗚𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗩𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘁". You can choose one of them. I stayed at Mandarin Village Resort and this video is a dedicated review about Mandarin Village Resort. It was my great staying experience, food experience and I enjoyed my vacation during the first week of December in 2020.

Kaluk is accessible by both air and train. If you reach Bagdogra airport then you can take a fully reserved car up to Kaluk. OR if you want a shared ride from Bagdogra airport, then you need to come down to Siliguri bus stand, where you can avail share car up to Jorethang. Then take a car from Jorethang to Kaluk.

If you are on the train, stop at New Jalpaiguri Station. Then either book a direct car up to Kaluk OR avail share ride up to Jorethang from Siliguri bus stand. And then book a car from Jorethang to Kaluk.
