11.19.2018 | 7:00 AM | SAN DIEGO - A group of illegal aliens were caught after swimming across the border and landing onto Imperial Beach, Monday morning.

Authorities responded to numerous calls from beach patrons of as many as eight individuals seen swimming towards Imperial Beach.

Lifeguards along with border and customs officials responded to the beach and quickly located a group of approximately four illegal aliens wearing wet suits.

All of the suspected aliens, three males and one female, were placed into U.S. Border Patrol.

No other aliens were located however authorities have no ruled out the possibility that some may have eluded capture. A helicopter could be seen searching for additional suspects.

It is believed a boat dropped off the aliens who then swam ashore.

Authorities were investigating this rather unique method of illicit entry into the country.
