Tortas de Masa Frita (fried dough cakes) bring back wonderful childhood memories of winter afternoons with my beloved grandmother, preparing these delicious fried dough cakes.
My mother and I love to make them from time to time to remember our relatives who are no longer with us but who have left us some delicious and simple recipes to enjoy with our loved ones.
These fried dough cakes are also known as Asopaipas.
INGREDIENTS (For 30-40 units)
400 gr. Wheat flour
A teaspoon of salt
9,5 gr. Chemical yeast or baking powder (1 small sachet)
250 ml. lukewarm water
Olive oil for frying
Sugar for decorating
