This video log covers our awesome February coaching weekend sponsored by Bodyboard depot.

The stars were aligned perfectly for each day as we enjoyed unusually mild sea temperatures, perfectly lined up 3ft waves and to top it off, blue skies and some glorious winter sunshine.

As always we split the group in to two separate ability groups, with the foundation group perfecting their cut backs and down the line trimming out at Towan beach. It was my job to take the shredder group to some slightly bigger waves not too far away, where we worked on our three sixty spins and projected rolls.

By the end of the weekend with three sessions in the water and some fine coaching from our Instructor Jamie Osborne everyone was making good progress. Combined with two video analysis sessions the crew were nailing three sixty’s, hitting the lip and starting to perform really solid El rollo’s.

And so the first coaching weekend of 2019 drew to a close. Despite it being winter, fun was had by all with loads of improvements. Roll on another year of bodyboard coaching weekends. We can’t wait for the next one.
