Abstract: Centoquaranta operai, di cui settantasei comunisti, sono stati licenziati dalla Piaggio, la grande fabbrica di Pontedera. Tra le forme di lotta contro tale provvedimento, i lavoratori licenziati hanno organizzato una "marcia del lavoro" dalla loro cittadina fino a Pisa, chiamando a partecipare tutta la cittadinanza e i lavoratori della zona, in segno di solidarietà per la difesa del posto di lavoro. Il documentario è la cronaca della marcia, che si è svolta per venti chilometri e che ha visto, accanto agli operai licenziati e alle loro famiglie, esponenti politici, sindaci, operai di altre fabbriche, sindacalisti, studenti, tutti riuniti insieme anche nel comizio finale a Pisa, durante il quale è stato chiesto con forza il ritiro dei licenziamenti.

Abstract: One hundred and party workers, seventy-six of whom are Communist, have been fired by the big Pontedera factory.
One of the forms which the struggle against the managers took has been the organization of a from the little town to Pisa by all the workers who had been fired: their purpose was to ask the local people and the wokers fromthe whole district to take part in the marchas a sign of solidarity and to demand that employment be guarented.
The film is a report on the march which was twenty kilometers long and was attended by political representatives, mayors, workers from other factories, Unon people and students. The speakers at the Pisa gathering demanded that the decision to the fire the workers be revoked since that kind of action only aims at inimidating people and deals a blow against full empoyment.
