Splash Waterfall (1968) was exhibited at the Asian Art Museum in Chang Dai-chien: Painting From Heart to Hand. Kathy Yih received footage from filmmaker Weimin Zhang showing Judy Shen, Chang’s disciple in the 1960s, discussing the piece.

In a 2015 statement Judy Shen said, "Splash Waterfall is a very strong representation of Chang’s splash technique and his attention to detail…every stroke Chang put on Splash Waterfall is very strong and powerful, even the grass and small details..."
