The original LOST IN SPACE miniature spaceship, The Gemini 12, was used only in the series pilot and in stock footage over the three years of the show. After being severely modified for use in a TV movie, the ship was hastily fixed up and sold at auction in 1980.

The Gemini 12 disappeared for 35 years only to resurface as a restoration project by master model maker PAUL LUBLINER. This video tells the unique history of The Gemini 12 and how Paul took what was basically "a melted candy bar" and restored it to pristine condition.
