Have you ever wondered how to make awesome and neat graphics for a vector planet? In todays Illustrator tutorial, follow along and learn some nifty techniques on making a vector planet, in a flat design style using Illustrator.

The most fundamental technique in todays video tutorial, is essentially making the shape to represent the shadow and light across the vector planet. This is what makes our vector planet become a flat design in Illustrator. We also make heavy use of the layers panel today as well as the appearance panel. Also one of the main aspects to todays vector planet design, is that we are creating the entire graphic on a document that is RGB, perfect for web based graphics.
