EDIT: a couple of times in this tutorial I refer to "sixteenth notes" when I mean "eighths" — apologies for that. I naturally refer to "quavers", but thought I'd try to be a bit more international. I'll remember to check next time 🤣
In this piano tutorial we explore a really important piano technique. It's used a lot in classical playing from intermediate level onwards, but it's also useful to learn if you're a relative piano beginner, because it's really good for hand independence. The tutorial features a couple of exercises, the latter of which is a short piece to learn, and there's a PDF to download (link below) that includes all the scores you need, including for the short piano solo I play at the start.
