Ghost towns are abandoned settlements, once bustling with life and purpose, that now stand silent to the passage of time.

Deserted due to economic decline, exhaustion of a natural resource, natural or man made disasters, ghost towns tell stories of resilience, hardship, and the transient nature of humans.

As we explore what remains, you can't help but feel a sense of nostalgia for a time that once was, and a connection to those who once called these places home.

Exploring a ghost town invites us to contemplate that what we see all around us is often short lived and only temporary.

In this video we will explore and learn the story of 10 fascinating ghost towns around western Canada and to see what remains.
