This is the second part of our planned twin hike in Kabayan, Bengeut.

Mount Pulag is the highest mountain in Luzon, standing 2928 MASL (Meters above sea level) and the third highest mountain in the Philippines. This is my 3rd time to hike Mt. Pulag but first time taking the bloody Tawangan trail.
The estimated duration for this hike is from 10-12 hours on a normal pace.

This is a DIY hike, here is the sample itinerary for Mt. Pulag via Tawangan trail.

Location/Jump-off point: Ballay Ranger Station
Brgy. Ballay, Kabayan, Benguet

Day 1
5:30 AM - Wake up / Breakfast
6:00 AM - Breakcamp (Tabeo Lake)
6:45 AM - Take habal habal ride to Brgy. Tawangan
7:10 AM - Arrival Brgy. Tawangan (register and secure guide)
7:30 AM - Start hike
12:00 PM - lunch at emergency camp
12:30 PM - mossy forest section
3:40 PM - entering grassland section
5:00 PM - arrival camp 2
6:00 PM - prepare dinner
8:00 PM - lights out

Day 2
3:30 AM - wake up / coffee
4:00 AM - push to summit
5:30 AM - sunrise / picture taking
6:00 AM - summit
7:00 AM - start descend back to camp
7:45 AM - back to camp
8:00 AM - prepare breakfast
9:15 AM - breakcamp
11:15 AM - arrival ambangeg ranger station
11:30 AM - freshen up
12:30 PM - travel back to Baguio City
4:00 PM - arrival in Baguio City
5:00 PM - ride bus to Manila
