The 1st gen Kia Soul sat in the middle of the struggling high-riding hatchback segment. But unlike the Scion XB and Nissan Cube, the Soul stuck around and fought it out with the Honda Fit and Nissan Versa Note too. Today, I figure out why it has made it so far.
