On Saturday the 16th, our plans fell through when we realized that we had mixed up the date, so with it being a fairly warm yet blustery day we set out to see what kind of traffic we could find around the KC Metro area.
we did go to the west-bottoms but luck didn't work out as we saw nothing outside of Santa Fe Junction. Later in the day however we decided to go along the NS to see some freights heading east, but along the way we made the decision to swing by the BNSF Murray yard after hearing that CP 7018 was near the yard office.
Low and behold, not only was it there but it was crewed and departing on a transfer to Knoche yard on the KCS (CPKC) where it'd stay over night before departing early Sunday, the 17th for a trip down south.
