Today we'll cover which essential oils are the best to start with, why they’re so popular, and how you can start using them!

So which essential oils are the best, most popular and most versatile?

Lemon essential oil is cleansing, uplifting, and great at reducing tension boosting your mood. It can be used in a facial cleanser at a 1% dilution, or in a household cleaner spray. Diffused, it creates an energizing atmosphere to help get you through the day.

Lavender can do so, so much. For example I use it diluted in a carrier oil for a relaxing foot massage, to help promote more restful sleep.

Lavender essential oil is well known for its relaxing properties. Diluted in a carrier oil or lotion, Lavender can help ease swelling, skin irritation, and more. I love using Lavender!

The third oil you need in your collection is Peppermint! Peppermint can be used for many things like boosting self-confidence, reducing tiredness, and helping with sore muscles.

Tea Tree essential oil: Tea Tree is a super versatile oil that has tons of uses. It’s great in DIY kitchen and bathroom cleaners. It’s a natural deodorizer, so it can be diffused or mixed in baking soda to help cleanse the air of gross smells.

Tea Tree is also great at protecting the skin! If you dilute Tea Tree to 1-2%, and apply to minor scrapes and cuts if can really help! I love using it in my laundry when I wash my clothes.

Orange Sweet is the last oil you need in your starter collection. Orange Sweet can be both calming and uplifting, making it a really versatile oil when it comes to emotional issues.

Orange Sweet can help with happy thoughts and a positive mood. It can be used with other essential oils like fennel sweet and cardamom to help with upset stomachs, or diluted to 1% and used to cleanse and tone the face.

So now that you’ve got a great list of single essential oils to start with, you’re going to want to know which are the most popular essential oil blends too. There are some blends that you need in your collection, and I’m going to tell you which ones to buy, and how to use them!

Germ Fighter, or our Kid
Safe version, Germ Destroyer is jam-packed with everything the body needs to help fight off sickness throughout the year. It’s great at keeping the home clean from your hands to the floor!

Dilute Germ Fighter to 2% in Aloe Vera Jelly to use as a hand sanitizer, or diffuse it to help cleanse the air when sickness is knocking at your door. It can also be used in your favorite DIY cleaner recipe to help cleanse the home and make sure none of those nasty germs are around long enough do any harm.

Energy synergy is a customer favorite because it’s SO great at lifting the mind and body throughout the day, and helps you keep going. It can be diffused in the morning before work to give you that extra push, or it can be used pre-workout and post-workout to help give you that drive to overcome any obstacles.

Rapid Relief or our KidSafe version, Sore No More synergy is great for when you need something strong to help relieve pain symptoms. It can be used as a muscle rub diluted to 5% in Aloe Vera Jelly to use after a long day at work, or a hard workout.

The fourth synergy you’ll want on hand is Relax (or Calming the Child if you need a KidSafe version).

Relax is great at helping you ease into a peaceful evening, calming your thoughts and giving you feelings of peace. It can be diluted to 1% in your favorite unscented lotion or body cream, or it can be diffused. I diffuse Calming the Child for my kiddos when they’re being crazy, especially right before bedtime!

Respir Aid, and it’s KidSafe version, Sniffle Stopper, is one of our most popular synergies for a reason! It’s jam-packed with soothing, cooling, and respiratory supportive oils that help clear congestion, allowing you to breathe deeper and easier. Respir Aid can be diluted to 5% in a DIY salve to use as a chest rub when you’re too stuffy to fall asleep. If you’re choosing to diffuse, it can definitely help you breathe easier, stopping things like snoring in their tracks!
