Today I came to see a mansion occupies 26 acres that asks for ten million dollars. The backyard area surrounded by the Mansion with the 18,200 square feet of living space and a fountain, is only less than 1/3 of the area. The rest is a large open space, including a forest used as a horse trail. Imagine riding horses in your backyard—sounds amazing!
It took two and a half years to build, and it's basically completed. Here is my favorite hall. Sunshine pours in from the south. Surrounded by greenery, it feels like sitting in the garden, a lazy and fresh sensation.
As soon as I entered, I was captivated by the two symmetrical wolf heads on the floor. The double-height front hall has a window above the door that frames the clear blue sky. On the right, there's a glass-railing staircase that spans three levels and a 34-foot water curtain wall connecting them. The top floor has spotlights resembling a starry sky. On the left, a double-sided fireplace wall leads to the living room. The other side of the fireplace features a Calacata marble wall. The golden elongated chandelier is quite chic, and the arched windows come with oval ceilings. The entire space follows a modern classic style with a white base, gray accents, black outlines, gold decorations, and subtle lighting. The pièce de résistance is the water curtain wall, with water flowing down, adding a touch of Zen.
Apart from the hall and living room, there's an essential family room connected to the kitchen in an open space. Decorative cabinets on the side echo the TV wall. A gold-carved cabinet door adds warmth, and the spacious gourmet kitchen has plenty of cabinets. Across from it is the breakfast area, with modern lantern-like lights. The wine cabinet with lighting adds flair to the space. The kitchen is equipped with Wolf appliances and a Sub-Zero refrigerator, standard for luxury homes. The back kitchen is a preparation area, separated to avoid disturbance to guests. The dining room is grand, easily accommodating a large table and a dozen chairs. The china cabinet is no longer classic gray but a dark blue, perhaps serving as a bold seasoning. The all-wood study can host roundtable meetings. The guest bathroom on the first floor features an extra-long agate Onyx countertop, emitting a blue glow, and symmetrically patterned marble walls with rippling effects when pushed open.
Taking the elevator to the second floor, we find the master bedroom. The fireplace, wall, patterns—every detail is well-executed. The master suite comes with an oversized bathroom, a spacious walk-in closet, and a balcony (which we missed capturing). The master bedroom connects to a secondary bedroom for the children. The second floor has 6 suites, including two master suites each connected to a secondary bedroom suite. Additionally, there are two separate suites. Each suite has its own bathroom, walk-in closet, and a large balcony. The second floor also houses the laundry room, a feature on every floor. There's a suite on the first floor and a nanny suite in the basement with two rooms.
As we reach the basement, we're greeted by a glass-walled wine cellar. It's hard to imagine what it looks like when filled with wine. The basement is only partially finished, and it really needs a new owner to unleash its entertainment potential. Except for spotlights, the walk-out basement is currently empty. This mansion boasts 1800 spotlights, 24 surveillance cameras, and underfloor heating in the basement and on the first floor. These empty rooms were originally designed for a gym, home theater, and sauna—areas you can redesign according to your preferences.
The backyard features an extremely large lawn, almost the size of a soccer field. The weather is perfect today, with blue skies, white clouds, and lush green grass. It takes three zoom-ins to see the artificial fountain in the distance. The large deck leads to 5 suites at the back, potentially for Airbnb, generating an annual income of $200,000 CAD. The Airbnb suites are well-furnished, each having two bedrooms, one bathroom, and a complete kitchen, maximizing space.
Unlocking the hidden feature of the large iron gate reveals a nostalgic guest cabin. The hall is filled with greenery, giving the feeling of living in nature. There are two bedrooms and a unique bathroom. The bathtub is shaped like a cloud, and the faucet resembles an exquisite antique telephone. It's said that there are two hungry dogs in the distant cabin. Beyond the orange fence is the forest, which serves as the horse trail.
