The original 'object in space' video!

The YouTube upload that started the 'floating something into space with a GoPro and a weather balloon' trend back in November 2010.

As seen on CBS '60 Minutes', a nationwide TV commercial for GoPro, Cartoon Network's Adult Swim, CNN, Discovery Channel, screens across the London Underground, The Daily Mail, The Guardian, Washington Post and more.

The robot and rig flew a height of over 95,000 feet (around 30,000 metres) to reach the limits of the earth's atmosphere and film the blackness of space, before the pressure popped the weather balloon and a parachute carried it back down to earth. We found the robot and camera in a field 11 miles away using a mini GPS tracker.

The 2 and a half hour flight was filmed on a GoPro HD Hero camera.
