We are in Washington D.C. and have a jam packed agenda full of FREE fun things! In this video, we start our day visiting Ford’s Theatre and Peterson House. Ford’s Theatre is were President Abraham Lincoln was shot and he was then taken across the street to the Peterson House were he passed away. There is a lot of history at these two locations and we walked away with new learnings. It was free to visit both the Ford’s Theatre and Peterson House! We then head over to our White House tour. I’ve done the tour before but was glad to do it again as I saw things that I had previously missed. The White House tour was also free and a good tour to take if visiting D.C. After the tour, we walk over to District Taco and have a tasty lunch. Continuing our epic day, we go to the National Museum of American History. This museum is HUGE and we took in as much as our time allowed but this can be an all day visit! The Entertainment section, of the museum, was one of my faves. This was also free! We finished off the night with a sunset cruise on the Potomac River taking in some of the famous sites in D.C. This cruise was the only thing (other than food) that we paid for all day! It was relaxing after a very busy day. Most of our day was filled with FREE things to do in D.C. It’s a great city and so much to explore! Thanks for watching! #WashingtonDC #TheWhiteHouse #FordsTheatre #PetersonHouse #NationalMuseumOfAmericanHistory #DistrictTaco
