It's the middle of winter and time for me to cut back the willow pollards and archways. In this video I look at how the willow has grown over the last few years and I explain the two year rotation we are using on the pollarded willows. In this video I cut back all the two year old branches on the pollarded willows and I also trim the archways in order to retain their shape and so that I can train new branches into the arch structure.
