We’ve done some custom changes to our regular U-Shape for this amazing VW Transporter T6.1.

This time we were brought a super cool, very high spec twin sliding door kombi.

The twin sliding doors are a rare conversion for us but I think you’ll see why we now think this could be the most practical and easy to use camper we’ve done.

The second door where the main cabinet is now reveals access to the rear of the cupboard as well as opening up the van space so immediately feels bigger. You could even use this as a serving area using the worktop as a counter top.

The auxiliary heater duct can also be swivelled 180 degrees so if you added a drive away awning to the drivers side you can use the vehicle heater to warm this space too.

We’ve used birch ply throughout the entire build which makes these very strong and durable as well as offering better protection against moisture.
Birch ply also has a much denser and cleaner edge which enables us to leave the edges exposed to give a very contemporary look. Once we’ve given these a light sand we apply a special oil which protects and enhances the look even further.
The exposed edge compliments the warm feel of the oak worktop perfectly.

Some further specifications of this vehicle include.

Kardean ship deck style floor.
240v hook up through the front grille badge.
