Steam Blocking -How To Steam Block Acrylic Yarn/Granny Square for your Crochet and Knitting projects, blankets, and clothing!

To Steam or Not to Steam...Steam Blocking is useful, if you are dealing with a tight stitch or a hard feeling yarn. Steaming allows the yarn to flatten and stretch out. It helps loosen the stitches in a Crochet Project.

Understanding steam is very hot, it is important to work in a clean area and to not allow the steam to come into too close of a contact with the crochet project.

Acrylic yarn is a synthetic yarn and it is designed to mimic natural fibers. Using a steamer, like the one in the video, over a iron can lessen the chance of an accidental iron slip, which can have a disastrous effect on your project.
