HALIENE says, "It was so fitting that Reach Across the Sky was the last single before the release of my debut album Heavenly, because it’s been with me the longest. I wrote the chorus all the way back in 2014, and it’s been through so many forms before finally coming out in 2022.
I’ve always known it was a special song, and have sang it live across the world on my tours for years, but wanted to wait to release it with my debut album.

I wrote this song about a cosmic connection that transcends time and space. There have been a few people in my life that I have felt this deep connection with. I somehow knew when they were in pain or in danger, like I could feel it myself even while we were apart. In Reach Across The Sky I wanted to explore a very different kind of heartbreak, finding resolution in the unresolved, completion in the incomplete and finding peace in the pain of not knowing."
