This video celebrates 30 things I learned at 30 through living in France for 6 years. Some fundamental mindset shifts occurred for me as an expat living in France and the ways in which it has pushed me to become a better person. It's part of the French Culture and French attitude to life that stays with me!

Just some of the lessons include how French people enjoy the moment and live for experiences and connection with others.

And also, priorities! French people, in general, would prefer decent amounts of paid annual leave to more money. If you ask a French person if they could earn 20 000 more per year but only have 2 weeks holidays, most would say NON MERCI. There is something to learn from appreciating the most simple things in life and prioritising time with family and less, high quality things than working tirelessly for that big fat pay check.

The expat life in France can be a ballroom dance, a battlefield, a riot and a rave. All of these experiences accumulate and have a profound effect on you as a person.
