In today's video, I'll be opening and reviewing a box of the brand new release and debut of 2023-24 Panini Phoenix Basketball Hobby. Phoenix basketball makes it's product debut in 2023. Phoenix has been a football staple since 2016, and been a subset in Chronicles basketball in previous years.

These boxes preordered for $500, but currently sell for $300-350 online and in-store at your local card shop. FOTL boxes sold out at dutch auction for $522 and currently resell for $600. Other formats will include retail Mega and Blaster boxes. Each Hobby box contains 12 5-card packs. Expect to find 2 Autographs, 1 Memorbilia Card, 6 Inserts, and 12 Parallels per hobby box. Numbered cards average 9 per hobby box.

Phoenix basketball is built on a 300 card base set consisting of 250 veterans and 50 rookies. Base non-numbered parallels include Silver, and the SP Color Burst and Dreamweaver. Chase 12 total base numbered parallels such as Red(#'d/199), Lava(#'d/75), Yellow(#'d/49), Blue(#'d/49), Fire and Ice(#'d/25), Gold(#'d/10), and Gold Vinyl(1-of-1's). Autographs to find include standalone signature such as Phoenix Rookie, Rookie Signs, and the rare Hoops Private Signings, as well as Rookie Patch Autographs and Dual Rookie Patch Autographs. Some of the most desirable autographs can be found in Honored and Calligraphy which feature some NBA superstars like Luka Doncic, Ja Morant, Stephen Curry, Giannis Antetokoumpo, and more! Inserts total 11, and include familiar inserts like Crusade, Mystique, Operation Detonation, Thrillers, as well as new sets like Court of Kings and Pyro. There are 3 case hit inserts that add an exciting chase element. Those are the short print Shooting Stars, alongside the super short print Archetype and Phoenician.
