The 384cc Norton Electra EL400 twin was produced from 1963-1965, and was the final development of Norton’s Lightweight Twins that began with the 250cc Jubilee in 1958, and became enlarged in 1960 as the 350cc Navigator. The Electra was amongst the first electric-start motorcycle engines.

Andy attracted a group of vintage motorcycle enthusiasts at the 2012 Rally with the First Start of his 1963 Norton Electra EL400 Lightweight twin engine. Fellow CVMG-Montreal member Pete Reitel and Norton aficionado did the honours.
