Waking Dream - Global Genius

Britannic was an ocean liner for the White Star Line, the company's third ship to bear the name. It was built by Harland and Wolff in Belfast, Northern Ireland. She was launched on August 6, 1929. Like her classmate MV Georgic, Britannic was a diesel-powered ship. Her displacement was 26,943 gross tons with a length of 712 feet (217 m). At the time of her launch she was the largest British-built engine ship. These two would be the only White Star Power Ships. The Britannic was a popular passenger ship, as she represented what was then the ultimate in Art Deco interior decoration and furniture, as well as the low-slung smokestack design giving her an elegant profile.
