On September 17, the Modi government completed 100 days of its return to power for the third term. The BJP-led NDA government has left a mixed impression across Northeast India. Views differ depending on whom you ask. A Tripura resident who supports the BJP might say the state is doing well. However, in Manipur, even BJP supporters are likely questioning their political stance. In Assam, reactions range from excitement about the upcoming semiconductor plant to frustration over Guwahati's living conditions. Mizoram faces both relief from financial aid for the refugee issue and anger over the condition of national highways and the cancellation of FMR. In Arunachal Pradesh, while hydro projects continue to receive approval, there are concerns over arrests related to opposition against these projects. And in Meghalaya, there’s hope for a 10 billion dollar economy, but the demand for ILP remains unfulfilled.
