So basically in this video I wanted to point out some parallels between these two movies from Luca Guadagnino. These would be the importance of the use of French (Madame Blanc's native language, and one of Elio's native languages), dance, sexuality, love, pain, and the fact that in both of the movies, one person in the couple is an American traveler with religious backgrounds (Oliver is jewish and is from a small town in New England, and Susie is an ex-Mennonite from Ohio).
