WHAT?
"I Hope I Do It Justice" is an uplifting, inspirational music album centered on fatherhood, hip hop, and justice. 🎵

WHO?
My name is Colby Jeffers. I am a changemaker and rapper from Phoenix, Arizona ☀️ 🌵. My mission is to uplift, educate, and inspire others to contribute to the betterment of the world. ✌🏽🌍 I’ve put out 7 albums worth of music reaching hundreds of thousands of listeners worldwide, all as an independent artist. I’ve been able to do this thanks to the amazing support and generosity of people like you! 🙏🏽

WHY?
In addition to being a rapper, I am also a husband and father, two roles I take very seriously in my effort to contribute to the betterment of the world.

In 2021, I released my 4th album, titled “Created Noble”, which was inspired by my first born son, Noble. The album centered on the concept of nobility, both through the lens of being a husband and father, as well as more broadly for humanity as a whole.

The album I now want to produce, titled “I Hope I Do It Justice” is inspired by my 2nd born son, Justice. In this project, I weave together personal experiences, social commentary, and spiritual insights that center on the concept of justice. The lyrics touch on topics such as identity, social issues, family, and spirituality. Each song explores facets of justice, from the personal level, as well as for society, at large.

Justice is a topic that has been on the mind and heart of many across the world, as of late, so I feel that this album is very timely. Through my own experiences, my studies in social justice, as well as my spiritual background as a member of the Baha’i Faith, I feel I have a unique and valuable contribution to make towards the discourse on justice. And music is the best way I can do it.

STRETCH GOAL of $10,000
I also have a stretch goal of $10,000 which would help bring the album to it's FULL POTENTIAL! This additional funding would allow for additional video content, as well as an expanded marketing budget to more effectively promote the music to a wider audience.

THE TEAM
All songs have been written. All collaborating artists have confirmed their participation. I have the instrumentals selected for each song. I'll be recording at TallCat Studios with my trusted recording engineer, Tom Whiting. I have the amazingly talented audio engineer, Leksai, from The.Wav team, mixing and mastering the songs. I have the camera-man, Brian Roth, who's agreed to shoot the music videos. The only thing I need is the funding the pay for these services! Once I've obtained the funds I need, through your support, I'll be ready to get this uplifting album produced!
