This is a full walk-through of my 1448 jonboat. I've basically turned this into a shallow water skiff/bass boat. Perfect for very shallow river fishing. 2000 Johnson 25 with a Solas HR4 Titan prop 10x12 and On the Fly Jackplate with TR Machining Shallow Scoops. I can keep the boat on plane in about 6-8 inches of water and idle through water about 8-10 inches deep on motor.  It only needs about 3-4 inches to float and can be rowed or poled. I have fully built this boat out to my own spec over the years, everything except those listed above was custom made by me. Feel free to ask any questions.
Correction to the end of the video, just had not tried hard enough to get up on plane with plate fully raised (St Croix DNR are touchy with speed in that section of river). Fully raised 6" above transom top and I have to rev her to the moon but the prop continues to build speed quickly even with just the lower 2/3 touching water. Get up and then I can back down to about 2/3 throttle and she goes fine.
