PLEASE READ: There's been some shit going on lately with fans' subtitles getting stolen, plagiarized, etc. by others. Don't get me wrong, I'm not involved but I'd rather be proactive than reactive. To avoid being accused of copying others' translations and to also protect myself from MY translations getting stolen, PLEASE note that I do not - and especially in this video - do word for word, "literal" translations. So I don't want to hear it in the comments below from people saying "actually this word in this language means that in English". I know that. For this video especially, I've chosen on purpose to make my wording a bit different/a slightly less common translation of what they’re saying, because not only will that differentiate me from other subbers but also that way I can tell if someone has plagiarized from me (I just searched and my video is the first translation up so far for this live, so anything else came after). However, I want to be perfectly clear that my subs are still accurate, they're just worded different this time.
As a translator, my specific subbing style is to write in a way where my translations effectively capture the boys' personalities as well and makes the conversation/dialogue flow as smoothly and naturally as possible (as if it was said in full fluent English in the first place), without compromising the accuracy of the translations. The reason why I started this channel was to eliminate the language barrier between WayV and their international fans (look at the bottom of the description for all my videos, where I state the mission and vision of my channel). People who have watched my subbed videos and speak fluently any of the languages I've translated for WayV videos can attest that the accuracy is still there, so please don't worry about that - I just also prioritize preserving the boys' personalities in what they're saying as well, because live-streams especially are the best way for fans to connect with their artists. I simply choose not to do literal, word-for-word translations sometimes because I generally find them ineffective and not only renders the dialogue between the members as cold/robotic/awkward, but also does not capture the true intonations, meanings, and context between what they're saying.
