I purchased a Tekton 3/8" split beam torque wrench right when they were released back in December 2021. I used it maybe 20 times, and it failed in September 2022. Even though the model number is the same, the design is different, so it appears the original had a design flaw they discovered and then rectified. That is only a theory.
