The thing I love about the Fire Bible is that it takes a classical Pentecostal approach to the commentary, articles, and charts. Pentecostals often have a reputation of excess, and to a degree that’s fair. However, much of our reputation is due to Charismatics, and their over-reliance on the expressions and gifts of the spirit without the boundaries clearly laid out in Scripture as their safeguard. If you truly want to know what Pentecostals believe, the Fire Bible formerly known as the Full Life Study Bible will get it done. There is another edition available from Thomas Nelson called the “Life in the Spirit Study Bible” but keep in mind that one has a more tamed set of commentary.
