Build a Japanese Planing Board Plus

This small work station is based on the traditional Japanese planing board, but with the addition of planing rail for shooting, saw stops for Japanese and Western style saws, and a large capacity vice for the preparation of long joints, etc. The feet, or short legs, are attached by sliding dovetails, and can be easily swaped for a tall base. Alternatively, the board can be clamped atop an existing workbench, raising the work to a better height, or used Japanese style, on the floor.
