Olivia Newton-John made *her first appearance on The Tonight Show starring Johnny Carson on June 5, 1974. She sang two songs on the show: If You Love Me, Let Me Know and I Honestly Love You. I think this is the best of the best among all her performances of I Honestly Love You. Perhaps, it is one of her most heartfelt and touching performances....specially with a single tear rolling down her cheek at 3:48. It is, indeed, a remarkable performance, remembering how awesome Olivia was as a singer and artist with her beautiful voice, expressions and sensitivity.

I Honestly Love You was released in 1974 on the album Long Live Love in UK and If You Love Me, Let Me Know in US. I Honestly Love You became a worldwide hit and Olivia's first #1 single in US and Canada. The song was written by Jeff Barry and Australian singer and composer Peter Allen. At the 17th Grammy Awards in 1975, I Honestly Love You won both Record of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Performance, Female. The song was also certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America, having sold one million copies. It reached #1 (3 weeks) on the Adult Contemporary chart and #6 on the Country chart.
