We left the house at 2:45am and left Maine after 6:30. We were unfortunate enough to pull onto Rte 95 at 3:15 and sat at the high level bridge for 3 hours. The guy your hearing in the news that killed his wife and 8 year son was having a stand off at the bridge. All traffic was stopped and re-routed except us. We and about 40 other cars and trucks were locked in. We were close enough that we heard the gun shot that killed the father.
On a lighter note, It was a good start for a Thursday at Dead Mans Curve Wild Hot Rod Weekend. The place is filling in with wild machine.
