Meet the people of the Monigong circle, Bokar Tribe who are claiming that some of their family members have settled in China (Tibet) and they never met after the 1962 Indi - China war. Even after living on the other side (China), they have not forgotten their culture, mythological importance and traditional attire, and most importantly, Bokar dialect. Moreover, while recalling their older days, they said that they used to follow a " barter system " in exchange of goods like dried chillies, animal skin, millets with Tibetan for food, salt and clothes. However,they had to face lots of hardships while travelling, as it took about a week or more to enter the Tibet border. They also claim that going to Tibet was not in everyone's cup of tea because one had to suffer a lot on the way. Even people died of hunger, thirst, and cold as well. Adding to their real life stories, they said that,while travelling to and fro in Tibet, some people made acquaintance with Tibetan and settled their permanent . After the 1962 war, the Chinese and Indian governments started imposing restrictions on the border, and families were compelled to separate from each other. But they say that their movement continued till 1969 before the Indian Army reached the border.
