Drafted 7th overall in the 2022 draft, the rise of Cade Horton through the Cubs Minor League system has been something to note. He advanced through three levels, settling at the AA affiliate Tennessee Smokies in his first year with the organization. This advancement arrives on the heels of an excellent college career at the University of Oklahoma, where Cade and the slider he learned on the Tuesday before the Big 12 Championship game was showcased to the baseball world at the College World Series. He says his career to this point has been "wild." MLB Pipeline predicts Cade Horton will make his MLB debut in 2025.
