The Jungle Book (1967) is one of the simpliest stories ever told in Disney Feature animation. Focusing of the characters over the story allowed the creators to be playful throughout, which resulted in my all time favourite Disney movie.

Creating something simple is actually a huge amount of work. Stray too one side and it becomes predictable, fall the other side and it becomes incomprehensible, caught up in its own web. The Jungle Book is a unique combination of experimentation, decades of talent, playfulness while being laser focused on it's goals. It would ultimately become the last feature film Walt Diseny ever put his hand to, as he passed away during production.
